With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Engelhardt Nichols of Hartwell, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Sherman Engelhardt and George Bliss Engelhardt; her husband Joseph Nichols; and her brother John. She is survived by: her children, Ann Dunn (John) of Hartwell, GA, Paul Nichols (Jeanne) of Eatonton, GA and Jean Marie Cross (Cairn) of Vergennes, VT; her grandchildren, Wesley Towle (Kim), JeanMarie Donovan (Hunter), Megan Hope, Daniel Cross (Erica) and Meredith Cross; her great grandchildren, Bentley Donovan, Michaela Hope and Caleb Cross; her sister-in-law Elissa Engelhardt; her nieces, Cheryl Engelhardt and Renee Engelhardt; and her friend Marion Powell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity if one's choice.
