It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karey Louise Curry of Hartwell, Georgia, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karey Louise Curry to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Willie Shifiet Sr. and Bertha Shifiet. She is survived by : her daughter Cherunda Curry; her siblings, JoAnn Gaines, Jewel Stowers, Willie Shiflet Jr. and Donald Shiflet; her niece Lavern Shiflet; her nephews, Keith Stowers and Rodney Rucker; her husband Rogers Curry; her daughter Cynthia Curry; her granddaughter Tyra McKnight; her siblings, Christine Rucker and Rev. James Shiflet; and her sisters-in-law, Alma Sadleer and Linda Curry. She is also survived by nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mack's Funeral Home, Hartwell Chapel (266 Maple St, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. James C. M. E. Church - Hartwell. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at the St. James C. M. E. Church.
