He was predeceased by: his parents, George Short and Bobbie Hadden Short; and his sister Beverly Norris. He is survived by: his wife Angela Hill Short of Hartwell; his daughters, Lauren Wood (Jonathan) of Ortonville, MI and Leann Roy (Tucker) of Anderson, SC; his sister Kim Jordan of Athens; and his grandchildren, Camden Wood, Sara Wood and Andi Jane Roy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643).
