Rodger Herring Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2025, at the age of 61, Rodger Herring of Hartwell, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Rodger departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rodger may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rodger leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parent Sammy R. Herring. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Adams Herring; his children, Sam J. Herring of Athens, GA and Abigail E. Landaverde (Ren) of Austin, TX; his siblings, Adam Herring (Cindy) of Hartwell and Sandee Gray (Dale) of Hartwell; and his siblings' children, Henry Gray, Casey Mills and Raeleigh Mills.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643).
