She was predeceased by : her sister Mae Frances Teasley (Craft); her husband Nathaniel Stowers; her parents, Lonnie Teasley and Laura Frances Rucker; her grandchildren, Tanesha and Shapoylie McCurry; and her siblings, Mae Frances Craft, William Teasley, Author Rucker Jr., Walter Rucker, George Rucker and Tommie Rucker.
She is survived by : her children, Nathaniel Stowers Jr., Betty Ann Rucker (Roy), Bishop-Elect Gail Blackwell, Terry Stowers, Emily Stowers, Patricia Stowers (Terah), Keith Stowers (Melinda) and Rosalyn Stowers; her close friend Hattie Sue Hill; and her sons, Michael and Rodney Stowers. She is also survived by her stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Mack's Funeral Home, Hartwell Chapel (266 Maple St, Hartwell, GA 30643). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at the Sardis Missionary Baptist Church (2240 Liberty Hill Rd, Hartwell, GA 30643).
