He was predeceased by: his parents, James Terrell Cobb and Olivia Hicks Cobb; and his brother Donnie Cobb. He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Cobb of Hartwell and Gary Cobb (Amy) of Royston; his siblings, Calvin Cobb of Hartwell and Barbara Vaughn of Ringgold, GA; his grandchildren, Lauren Cobb Foster (Paul) and Nolen Brady Cobb (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, Brady Palmer Cobb and Jackson Paul Foster.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell (305 Cleveland Ave, Hartwell, GA 30643). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park (1171 Royston Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643).
