He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Columbus Owens and Exell Nation Owens; his wife Agnes Fordham Owens; his siblings, H. C. Owens Jr., John Morris Owens and Margaret Nelson; and his grandchildren, Joshua Owens and Jenifer Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Owens of Columbia, Allen Owens (Mia) of Charleston and Sarah May (Mike) of Hawkinsville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren.
