She is survived by: her husband Raymond Painter; her children, Donnie Kay Gregory, James Michael Thomas and Tammy Renea Smith; and her siblings, Leonard Slavin and Joyce Carter. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
