He was predeceased by : his brother James Michael Dykes; and his grandparents, Oliver, Ernestine Shannon, Walter and Evie Dykes.

He is survived by : his children, Sara Nicole Dykes of Hazlehurst and Skyler Dakato Dykes of Augusta; his parents, Tommy Edward and Lorraine Dykes of Hazlehurst; and his brother Arlon Dykes of Hazlehurst.
