He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Clyde Turner and Jewel Byrd Turner; his wife Shirley Turner; his stepdaughter Malandy Shollenberger; his siblings, Larry Turner, Harry Smith, Ed Smith, Willie "Dub" Smith, James Smith, Ruby Long and Mary Campbell; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Webster, Dale Long and Robby Robbins.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Stewart and Linda Campbell (Michael); his siblings, Diana Webster, Sue Robbins and Wayne Turner (Michelle); his sisters-in-law, Becky Turner, Barbara Smith and Joann McCollum; his grandchildren, Jessi Adkins, Bonnie Stewart (Chris), Alex Stewart (McKenzie) and Jadie Adkins; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Harrell (Hannah), Jasmine McCarroll, Luke McCarroll and Dylan McCarroll; and his great grandchild Liam. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
