With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Paul Turner of Hazlehurst, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe Paul Turner to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Clyde Turner and Jewel Byrd Turner; his wife Shirley Turner; his stepdaughter Malandy Shollenberger; his brother Larry Turner; and his brother-in-law Joe Webster.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynn Stewart and Linda Campbell (Michael); his sister Diana Webster; his grandchildren, Jessi Adkins, Bonnie Stewart (Chris), Alex Stewart (McKenzie) and Jadie Adkins; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Harrell (Hannah), Jasmine McCarroll, Luke McCarroll and Dylan McCarroll; and his great grandchild Liam. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hazlehurst Church of God (77 S Cromartie St, Hazlehurst, GA 31539). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home to assist the family during this time.
