With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Memorio Zarraga (Hazlehurst, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2025 at the age of 50. As Jose departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jose. Though Jose may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his children, Jose Zarraga and Jessie Zarraga; his mother Trinidad Rodriguez; and his siblings, Rocio Felix, Trinidad Zarraga, Carmen Zarraga, Fernando Zarraga, Marisol Zarraga, Pablo Zarraga and Pedro Zarraga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (259 Baxley Hwy, Hazlehurst, GA 31539).
