It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Wright Herndon of Hazlehurst, Georgia, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Herndon (Bud) and Vera Mae Long Herndon; his wife JoAnn Herndon; and his brother Warren Herndon Jr. (Buck). He is survived by: his sons, Sammy Herndon of Fort Valley, Tony Herndon of Ft Valley and Duane Herndon (Deborah) of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
