With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Fay Chavis of Hazlehurst, Georgia, born in Palatka, Florida, who passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie Floyd and Elanor Mattie Meadows Floyd; her great grandchild Avery Prescott; and her siblings, Cindy Floyd and Clayton Floyd.

She is survived by : her husband Glenn Chavis of Hazlehurst; her children, Amy Floyd Waters of Hazlehurst and Mark Eric Shepard Jr. (Christina Carter) of Hazlehurst; her siblings, Ricky Floyd of Hazlehurst and Sandra Adams of Lumber City; and her grandchildren, Lexus Prescott (Tyler), Kolby Waters, Ebon Waters, Erin Shepard, Kristin Shepard, Annabeth Shepard, Taylor Halligan and Bailey Chavis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
