She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Johnson and Edna Ann Newham Johnson; her husband Sherman Gibson; and her sister Betty Faye Harper. She is survived by: her sons, Chris (Ciara Carter) and Levi Carter (Matthew Carter) of Hazlehurst; her grandchildren, Cansley Carter, Caylin Carter, Chan Henry, Brayleigh Carter, Kayleigh Carter, Gage Butler and Kaiden Rowland; and her siblings, Bruce Johnson (Lori) of Lumber City, Laura Rae (Barry) of Hazlehurst and Janie Johnson of Lumber City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Denton Cemetery.
