He is survived by: his daughter Carlie Colson of West Green; his siblings, Barbara Spell of Hazlehurst, Iris McNatt of Douglas, Roy Colson (Janell) of Hazlehurst, Russel Colson (Latrell), Danny Joe Colson (Bobbie Jo) and Robert Colson; and his close friend Shonda Carver of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
