It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Gordon Martin of Hazlehurst, Georgia, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alton Martin and Earnestine Nixon Smith (Carol Martin); his brother Frankie Smith; and his stepfather George Frank Smith. He is survived by : his son Chris Martin (Dawn) of Leesburg; his sisters, Kathy Whitt, Peggy Parrott (Jimmie) and Gina Vance (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Austin Martin, Macey Martin, Bethanie Kiger and Evan Pate; and his great grandchildren, Preston Hardegree and Zander Smith.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Wainright & Parlor Beginning (3 E Odum St, Hazlehurst, GA 31539). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
