It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mike Spiroplaus of Helen, Georgia, who passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Spiroplaus and Stella Spiroplaus; his brother Chris; and his daughter Jacqueline. He is survived by: his wife Helen Spiroplaus; his children, Kathleen Stella (Randy), Lauren Spiroplaus-Michelon, Jennifer Spiroplaus (Jeff Smith) and Penelope Weber (Pete); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Randi, Christina, Danielle and Mackenzie; and his great grandchildren, Amy, Burke and Lilly.
His dedication to education, leadership, and service earned him the Section's PGA Professional Development Award in 2007 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to improving educational opportunities.
