She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie "Mutt" Avery and Joan Willis Avery; and her brother Kirk L. Avery. She is survived by: her husband Christopher E. Wright; her daughters, Leah F. Wright and Avery Huff (Bryant); her brothers, Herbert Harris (Carla) of Hephzibah, Alphonza Harris (Tammy) of Hephzibah and Michael Avery of Augusta, Georgia; her sister-in-law Carla Avery of Maryland, Virginia; her sister Linda Willis of Augusta, Georgia; her goddaughters, Alekay Johnson and Zaneta Wilson of Lithonia, Georgia; Patricia Morgan of Augusta, Georgia.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (2945 Old Tobacco Rd, Hephzibah, GA 30815). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church (1714 Olive Rd, Augusta, GA 30906).
