She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry; her parents, Truman Holmes and Stella Holmes; and her siblings, Bill, Steve, Max, Anne Edwards, Gertie Mae Layson and Gerald.
She is survived by: her children, Tracy Nicholson (Royce), Matt (Elaina) and Chris (Kellie). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Banister-Cooper Funeral Home (678 N Main St, Hiawassee, GA 30546). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1906 Streak Hill Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546).
Pallbearers: Alan Turpin, Andrew Turpin, Hogan Nicholson, Whit Nicholson, Loftin Turpin, and Silas Nicholson, Flowers are accepted but in lieu of flowers donations in Imogene's memory can be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
