He was predeceased by : his parents, William Scott and Jane Smith Scott; his daughter Jill Sharon Scott; and his sister Janet Bell. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Hokenson Scott of Hiawassee; his children, Jeff Scott of Hiawassee, Jody (Fred Federico) and Jean (Ty Martin); his grandchildren, Tasia (Dan Nabors), William Knapp, Marissa Martin and Harrison Martin; his great grandchildren, Tate, Beau and Jett Nabors; his niece Lori (Ron Matthias); and his nephew Dan Bell. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or Marine Corps League Unicoi Detachment 783 in Walt's memory.
