It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Williiam Ray Grimes of Hiawassee, Georgia, who passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Wiley Grimes and Gladys Tiller Grimes; his wife Beatrice Gardner Grimes of Hiawassee; his sons, Ken Grimes of Sautee, GA. and Chris (Tracy Grimes); his sisters, Vivian Miller of Vinegar Bend, AL., Estelle Miller of Vinegar Bend, AL. and Gladys (Harold Ritenour); his grandchildren, Colby (Abby Grimes), Kayla (James Young) and Chase (Micayla Grimes); and his great grandchildren, Axel-Bolane Grimes and Lucas Tate Grimes. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Mr. Grimes.
