Cathy Smith Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cathy Smith in High Shoals, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Cathy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cathy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Reid Arthur Duvall and Annis Ruth Carson Duvall; her husband Johnny B. Smith; her brothers, Larry Duvall (Diane) and Ralph Duvall; and her brother-in-law Curran Wood.

She is survived by: her siblings, Billy Duvall (Bonnie) of Greshamville, Martha Duvall Wood of Nicholson and Nell Duvall Magnus (Ken) of Maxeys. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
