He was predeceased by : his father Charles Henry Barnes. He is survived by : his mother Linda Shave Barnes; his brother Bill Barnes (Paige) of Nashville, Tennessee; his nephew Raleigh Barnes (Melanie) of Nashville, Tennessee; and his niece Annadele Benson (Will) of LaFayette, Georgia.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Flemington Presbyterian Church Cemetery (875 Old Sunbury Rd, Hinesville, GA 31313).
