He was predeceased by: his wife Sandy; his parents, Homer Smith and Irene Bell Smith; and his brother Homer L. Smith. He is survived by: his partner Leslie Bowling; his children, Jamey Smith (Debbie) and Heather Scott (Damien); his grandchildren, James "Tripp" Smith, Christian Scott (Jordan), Emmaline Scott and Mary Elizabeth Scott; his great grandchild Lucy Scott; and his sister June Smith Hendry. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local music education charity in Jimmy's honor.
