She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Wood and Estelle Wood; her former life partner Dr. Jim Goodman; her son John Achter; her brother Henry D. Wood; her great-nephew Deen Smith; and her former life partners, Justin Smith, Brice Patterson, Erik Pardue, Gil Russell and Jeff Wood.
She is survived by : her spouse Doctor Jim Goodman; her sisters, Juanita E. Pardue of Gainesville and Clara W. Smith (Richard) of Columbus; her nieces and nephews, Shannon Moore of Columbus, Ashley Patterson (Brice) of Waverly Hall, Justin Smith (Tami) of Columbus, Erik Pardue (Mary Lina) of Gainesville, Jaime Russell (Gil) of Marietta, Dr. Lindsay Sammons (Edward Sammons) and Jeff Wood of Pooler; and also Nancy C. Wood of Savannah.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Nora's name to help express the appreciation for the excellent care Nora and her family received there.
