He is survived by: his wife Clara Chappell; his daughters, Sherri Walmer (Tim), Teresa Jones (Joel), Sonja Smith (Kyle) and Michelle Smith (Jack); and his grandchildren, John Mitchell (Joy), Austin Smith (Abby), Jacob Smith (Adrianna), Melissa Tidwell (Lee), Jennifer Mitchell (Jo), Lacy Johnson (Ethan) and Abigail McCravy (Lance).
