He is survived by: his wife Sarah Colon Hemphill; his daughter Candace Denya Hemphill of Acworth, GA; his stepchildren, David Allen Conner, Ann Barber and Robert Conner; his sisters, Jane H. Wanamaker (Jay) of Hiram, GA and Mary G. Forrester of Kennesaw, GA; his great grandchild Autumn Grace Kight; Darlene Farmer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
