He was predeceased by: his parents, William Newton and Susie Mathis Newton; and his brother Kenneth Newton. He is survived by: his son Clint Newton; his siblings, Gloria Edwards and Terry Newton; his nephew Larry Edwards Jr.; and his great-nieces, Amber Edwards, Alyssa Edwards and Kelsey Proctor.
