She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Emory Dickerson and Nancy Mayleen Herrin Dickerson; her husband James Levy "J. L." Stevens; her son-in-law Danny Anderson; and her brothers, Charles Dickerson, Ladon Dickerson (Betty) and Jerry Dickerson.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Stevens (Cheryl) of Hoboken, Linda Stevens Chesser of Hoboken and Donna Stevens Anderson of Hoboken; her grandchildren, Steven Chesser (Marcia), Ryan Chesser (Carla), Heath Briscoe (Jessica), Josh Briscoe (Stefanie), Katie Hayes (Tyler), Kelley Lawrence (Sarah), Kami Roberts (Chris) and Jill Collins (Taylor); and her sister-in-law Anita Dickerson. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Margaret requested no flowers. In lieu of flowers, she would like to help people in need, so please donated to a charity.
