It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Thomas Swain of Hoboken, Georgia, who passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Frank Thomas and Mattie Victoria Copeland Thomas; her husband David Edgar Swain; and her brothers, Herman Lee Stacy, Virgil Leroy Thomas and Thomas Leo White.
She is survived by: her sons, David M. Swain of Hoboken and Jimmy L. Swain of Blackshear; her grandchildren, Erika Nicole Swain Kimbrell (J. C.) and Christopher Stephen Swain (Violet); and her siblings, Theodore Frank Thomas, Lydia Thrift (Ronnie) and Leah Albritton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
