He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Eugene McCarty and Marilyn Rowell McCarty; and his siblings, Janice Walker and Clifford D. McCarty. He is survived by: his fiancé Joani Lindsey of Hoboken; and his siblings, Kathy Ann Haynes of Nahunta, Wanda Harris of Nahunta, Diane Carter (Eugene) of Patterson, David McCarty (Pam) of Nahunta and Nanette Helmly (Jeff) of Rincon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the David and Pam McCarty's Residence.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Miles-Odum Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
