He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Thompson and Lillian Rachel Murphy Thompson; his wife Lonnie Elaine Cummings; and his son Gregory Mize. He is survived by: his sister Jean Moncus (Jimmy); and his children, Bobbie Spears (Marty), BJ Thompson (Tiffany), Debra McGuffin (Lee) and Gayla Miller. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
