She was predeceased by: her parents, David Jackson Carpenter and Louise Carpenter Owsley; her daughter Mary Simons; and her sister Mary Watts. She is survived by: her former husband Edward Lamar Kitchens; her children, Gail Booker of Columbus, Betty Robinson (Scott Spradlin) of LaGrange and Jamie Folds of Hogansville; and her siblings, Steven Carpenter (Debra), Teresa Parker and Beverley Towler. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; extended family.
