He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Long and Pauline Gaddy Long Bowman; and his brother Timmy Long. He is survived by: his wife Janice Long of Hogansville; his children, Jaffnie DeFriese (David) of Carrollton and Jeff Long (Dana) of LaGrange; and his brother Ricky Long of Roanoke, AL.. He is also survived by six granddaughters; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Springhill Baptist Church (2239 Hammett Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery (1100 E Main St, Hogansville, GA 30230).
