He was predeceased by: his parents, George Samuel and Lucille Smitherman Emory; and his siblings, Alan Emory, Malcolm Emory and Linda Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Williams Emory; his son Robert Alton Emory, Jr.; and his siblings, Gail Walcott, Nancy Khoury, Stuart Emory, Don Emory, Steve Emory, Jimmy Emory and Butch Emory. He is also survived by two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
