He is survived by: his wife Lynn Payne Whitfield of Homer; his children, Lisia (Chris Moore), Tina (James Willis) and Chris; his daughter-in-law Laurie Whitfield of Elberton; his son Barry Whitfield of Homer; his grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Jennifer Lira, Christopher Willis, Casey Willis, MaKayla Carey and Avery Whitfield; his great grandchildren, Amber Lavelle, Bentley Lira and Whit Carey; and his siblings, James (Yvonne Whitfield), Lamar (Debbie Whitfield) and Linda Poole of Homer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
