James Alvin Cox Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Alvin Cox of Homerville, Georgia, who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Mae Cox; his sister Louise Nancy Malinoski of Phoenix, AZ; and his aunts and uncles, James Lonnie Cox, Lewis H. Cox, Thomas Christopher Cox, George Cox, Alma Cox and Mamie Rozier.
He is survived by: his wife Melba Jean Beverly Cox of Homerville, GA; his children, Kenneth Cox (Barbara) of Waycross, GA and Catherine Cox Webb (Don) of Homerville, GA; and his grandchildren, Kenneth James Cox (Amanda) of Manor, GA, Holly Jean Cox (Blaine) of Newnan, GA, LeAnna White (Tangi) of Columbus, GA, Jessica McLaughlin (Henry) of Waycross, GA and Dillon Webb of Homerville, GA. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Suwannee Chapel Cemetery (6241 Suwannee Chapel Rd, Waycross, GA 31503).
