She was predeceased by : her mother Leona Lee James (Jim); her former life partner David Surrency; and her husband William Stephens. She is survived by : her brothers, Gene and Richard; her children, Phyllis Dallas (Mark) and David, Jr.; her siblings, Jimmy James (Sally) and Ellen Carmichael; and her sister-in-law Audrey James. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.
