It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Henderson Smith of Homerville, Georgia, who passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber Charles Boyd and Betty Florance Revels Boyd; and her siblings, JoAnn Boyd, Timothy Charles Boyd, Tommy Boyd and Emory Boyd.
She is survived by: her husband Shelton Smith of Homerville; her sons, Darran (Lynn Henderson) and Anthony (Misty Henderson); her grandchildren, Brandon Henderson (Mandy Bell), Darran Robert Henderson (Nora) of Waycross, Ashley Henderson of Lyons, GA, Austin Henderson of Waycross, Noah Henderson of Brantley County and Payton Henderson of Blackshear; her great grandchildren, Emily, Cameron, Cayden and Caleb; her siblings, Roselyn Connell of Waycross and Jimmy R. Boyd of Waycross; her sister-in-law Judy Boyd of Nicholls; her stepdaughters, Cathy Wilson (Mack) of Argyle and Kristen Pittman of Homerville; and her stepgrandchildren, Brock Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Lily-Ana Pittman and Jonah Pittman. She is also survived by seven step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
