He is survived by: his wife Christy Brown; his sons, Cooper and Zach Brown; his parents, Pam Brown and Paul Brown; his brother Peter; his sister-in-law Denise McCormick; his nieces and nephews, PJ and Julia McCormick; his parents-in-law, Joan and Jerry Gereghty; his brother-in-law Brian Reese; and his niece Megan Stucynski (Matt).
It was AJ's wish that memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to the American Cancer Hope Lodge (https://www.cancer.org), in Decatur, Georgia, where AJ stayed during his treatment at Emory Hospital.
