He was predeceased by : his parents, G. Frank Bly and Ezalee Audrey Gates Bly. He is survived by : his wife Gretchen Snowe Bly of Hoschton, GA; his children, Candace Ferris (David) of Nokomis, FL, Heidi Peachey (Donald) of Sarasota, FL, Jodi Mann of Sarasota, FL, Darren Ellis of Litchfield, ME and Nathan Ellis (Caitlin) of Venice, FL; his grandchildren, James, Meghan, Matthew, Alex, Kyle, Austin, Sarah and Delaney; his siblings, Susan Grover (Charles) of Thomaston, ME, Kathy Roy (Randy) of Freeport, ME, Anne O'Mara (Jack) of Ipswich, MA and Jim Bly (Debbie) of Freeport, ME; and his sister-in-law Olympia Snowe (Jock McKernan) of Falmouth Foreside, ME. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.

“So sorry to hear about the passing of Chuck. He was a special guy and I remember how he seemed "bigger than life" to me when he became my stepbrother when I was 7 years old. (I think he must have been 22.) May God draw near to you all in this time of mourning. - Sharon”
