Ed Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ed Smith of Howard, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnett Edward and Mazie Dockery Smith. He is survived by: his wife Louise Smith; his sons, Brad Smith (Laura), Marty Smith (Pam) and Chris Smith (Mandy); his sisters, Joyce Lockaby (Jim) and Barbara Smith; and his grandchildren, Carter Smith (Savannah), Kat Hendricks (Joseph), Taylor Smith (Haven), Andy Smith (Landrey), Caroline Maxwell (Daniel), Lora Grace Smith and Sydney Smith. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church, 102 Dixie Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117, in Ed's memory.
