It is with sadness that the passing of Jeannette Beard in Ideal, Georgia is shared. Jeannette, born on September 21, 1931 in Montezuma, Georgia, passed away on August 22, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Theron Beard; her parents, L. J. Spradley and Ethel Davis Spradley; and her grandchild Deputy Sheriff Wayne Woodard. She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Beard, Langdon Beard (Heather Brown) and Lynn Woodard; her grandchildren, Matthew Woodard (Cassandra), Brittany Farmer, Caitlin Beard and Conley Beard; and her great grandchildren, Mickell Greene, Nickolas Woodard, Kingston Woodard, Morgan Woodard and Barrett Williams. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watson-Mathews Funeral Home (322 N Dooly St, Montezuma, GA 31063). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery (405 Walnut St, Montezuma, GA 31063).
