He was predeceased by: his parents, David Columbus Golden and Gertrude Kirkland Golden; his wife Elaine Hill Golden; his brother Don Golden; and his granddaughter Chelsea Cook Patridge.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Golden of Brinson, GA, Chris Golden of Donalsonville, GA and Teresa Cook (Jamie) of Bainbridge, GA.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
