She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva D. Johnson and Laura Bell Brown; her husbands, Hugh Dorsey Tanner and Albert Charles Wood; and her grandson Robby Veal.
She is survived by: her children, Hugh Tanner (Yolande) of Conyers, Judy Veal of Ivey, Clark Tanner (Cara) of Milledgeville and Danny Tanner (Bitsy) of Gordon; her sisters, Nancy Timms of Milledgeville and Audrey Veal of Milledgeville; and her grandchildren, Ginger Davis Gatlin, Brandy Tanner, Nikki Fordham, Alison Tanner, Chase Veal, Christopher Tanner, Alex Stonecipher, Hiliary Conn and Karlea Tanner. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
