He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mitchell and Bessie Pearl Case Friel; and his siblings, Theresa Rose, Joel Friel, Eula Roberson, David Friel and Ricky Friel.
He is survived by: his spouse Druanne Schoenfeld Friel; his daughter Melissa Russell (Jack) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Daryl Keith Neal III of Macon and Brandon Kelvin Neal (Alayna) of Forsyth; his siblings, Brenda Moody of Stockbridge, Vicky Asher (Marvin) of London, KY, Geary Friel (Rebecca) of Gainesville and Granville Friel of Stockbridge; and also Daryl Keith Neal Jr. of Macon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
