He was predeceased by: his parents, Frary Elrod, Jr. and Doris Elrod. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Bradley Elrod of Mt. Airy; his children, Louis, Kira Weissenborn (Elrod) and Susan Elrod; his son-in-law Erik Hofmeister of Auburn; his brother John Montgomery Elrod (Ulla) of Jacksonville Beach; his sibling's children, Barbara Elrod Friedmann (Chris) of Jacksonville and Thomas Elrod (Katy) of Arlington, VA; and his great-nephews, John and Ken.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the St. Mark Chapter, Knights of Columbus, 5410 Highway 197 South, Clarkesville, GA 30523 or to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, 46 Plaza Way, Clayton, GA 30525.
