He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Powell and Annie Powell; his daughter Becky Powell; and his siblings, Jimmy Powell, Dan Powell and Shirley Hoggard.

He is survived by : his son Billy; his daughter-in-law Emmanuelle Powell; and his grandchildren, Emily Powell, Elena Powell, Tiffany Powell and Austin Powell. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
