Andrew D. Jones Obituary

Andrew D. Jones, 45, affectionately known as "Andy" or "Bubba," passed away on February 25, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida. A resident of Jacksonville for the past three years and former lifelong resident of Jesup, Andy was born on June 20, 1976. He attended Wayne County Public Schools and began working at Screven Cabinets at the age of fourteen, sweeping floors and cleaning up.

His hard work was rewarded as he learned the trade of building cabinets and began helping to install. Later, he took a position building cabinets for Gulfstream Aerospace where he worked in the Brunswick and Savannah locations. Andy realized that the skills he learned finishing cabinets could also be used to paint cars and began to do auto body work on the side eventually working for B&C Collision Center in Screven and even driving tow trucks when he was needed.

Andy loved tinkering with cars in his spare time and he spent countless hours working on his Mustang and playing with his radio control cars. His mother Pauline Kirkland Manning and his stepmother, Angie Jones, both preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Adrianna, Lance and Ansley Jones all of Jesup; one grandson, Isaiah Lewis of Jesup; father, William "Bill" Jones of Brunswick; sisters, Terry and Kimberly Oliver both of Jesup; brother, Mark Jones and Harold Gravley both of Jesup; fiancé, Lillian Jones of Jacksonville, FL and former wife and lifelong friend, Jodie Jones.

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Reverend Josh May officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
