He is survived by: his grandchildren, William David, Jessica Hunter of Fairmount, Julie, Laura and Jeremy Jones of Jasper; his great grandchildren, Evan Hunter, Skylar Hunter, Gloria Mae Hunter, Alizabeth Faith Hunter, Tyler Chastain, Kaine Chastain, Zackery Couch and Graice Rezvani; his siblings, Willa Faye Hancock, Frances Watson and Harold; his sister-in-law Linda Hightower; his son-in-law Jeremy Henderson; and his close friend Ethel Long. He is also survived by step children, grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (6707 Big Ridge Rd, Talking Rock, GA 30175).
